Happy Father’s Day

Interestingly, Father’s Day as an officially recognized Observance did not occur until 1972.  However, efforts to establish this day honoring fathers began only 62 years earlier.   In America today, Father’s Day is the fifth-largest card-sending occasion, with about 85 million greeting cards exchanged.  In a survey by the National Retail Federation and BIGinsight, consumers estimated they will spend approximately 10% more this year than last for Father’s Day.

The total amount of projected online spending across the board will increase by about 28.5% over last year, with tablet users helping to drive the growth upwards.
