Interestingly, Father’s Day as an officially recognized Observance did not occur until 1972. However, efforts to establish this day honoring fathers began only 62 years earlier. In America today, Father’s Day is the fifth-largest card-sending occasion, with about 85 million greeting cards exchanged.
